Two arrests as armed police swoop after Gravesend ‘gun’ incident

Two men have been arrested after a CCTV image was released of a man brandishing a possible firearm.

The incident happened just after 6am on Saturday around Pelham Road in Gravesend after police received reports a man had been seen in possession of a weapon.

A CCTV image of a man was issued as part of the investigation and on Tuesday evening armed patrols attended two separate addresses in the town.

A 33-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were arrested in connection with the incident.

Both remain in custody as enquiries continue.
