Two arrests after robbery outside Nicholson and Keep Pharmacy, The Parade, Valley Drive, Gravesend

A woman was attacked and had her bank card stolen during a robbery.

The victim, in her 40s, was approached by a man and woman she knew outside the Nicholson and Keep Pharmacy, on the corner of The Parade in Valley Drive, Gravesend.

She says the man pulled her to the ground while the woman took her bank card.

The victim was able to get into a parked car nearby but says the other woman followed her and damaged the vehicle's wing mirror and windscreen.

The next day, a 28-year-old woman and a 47-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Both suspects are from Gravesend and were later bailed to return to the police station.

Detective Sergeant Ben French, of North Kent CID, said: "While two people were detained in connection with this incident, we are appealing for witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police to contact us.

"We are also asking drivers with dashcam and residents with private CCTV to check for footage that may assist our inquiries."

It all happened on Wednesday, December 7, at around 4.05pm. Police released details today to encourage witnesses to come forward.
