Gravesend & Northfleet v Accrington Stanley

GRAVESEND striker Charlie MacDonald will face a late fitness test to see if he is contention to face league leaders Accrington Stanley tonight.

Paul McCarthy and Bradley Johnson are also available for the vital match after returning from suspension.

Fleet boss Liam Daish said: "It will be good to have those players back for the match because it increases competition for a place in the side.

"The match against Accrington is vital – the biggest league game of the season for us so far.

"If we can get a win it would put us just behind the play-off places with games in hand and then anything can happen."

The match is the second league game this season at Stonebridge Road on a Friday night, following an experiment by the club last month when a bumper crowd turned up to see Fleet beat Canvey Island 2-0.

Chairman Brian Kilcullen said: "This is a chance for people who are otherwise engaged on a Saturday to support their local team and get their weekend off to a nice start.

"We are playing well and Accrington are top of the league. All the ingredients are there for a great game."
