GRAVESEND are confident of re-signing Brett Johnson in time for Saturday’s Nationwide Conference match at Exeter.

The defender was recalled by his club Northampton for the Christmas and New Year fixtures during the second month of his loan at Stonebridge Road.

Now, manager Liam Daish is negotiating to bring Johnson back for the rest of the season and in time to face Exeter on Saturday.

Daish explained: "Northampton are hoping to make a signing and if that goes through, Brett will return. At the moment we’re trying to sort something out with Brett."
