Helicopter at scene of two car collision on Lower Higham Road in Gravesend

One person suffered serious injuries and another two people were hurt after a crash on Lower Higham Road.

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesperson confirmed that three casualties were involved in the road traffic collision in Gravesend.

Police, ambulance crews and a helicopter were at the scene of the crash at around 6.45pm.

Kent Police has said: "Police were called to Lower Higham Road, Gravesend at 6.45pm on Tuesday, 12 July following a report of a road traffic collision.

"Three people were reported to have been injured and the air ambulance was called.

"Two people were taken to hospital via ambulance with injuries said to be minor.

"One person suffered serious non life-threatening injuries and was taken to a London hospital.

"The road was reopened at 9.30pm."
