Thugs jump on victim's leg until it fractures

A TEENAGER had his leg broken by two men in an unprovoked attack in a Kent town centre.

And in a separate incident in the same town a man was beaten around the head with a wooden bat.

The first sickening incident took place in Mortimer Street, Herne Bay. Four teenagers were walking home after a night out when one of them was punched in the head by two men.

They jumped on his legs and broke one of his shins. Two men were arrested near the scene but later released due to a lack of evidence.

The second violent attack happened on the corner of Bank Street and High Street.

A man and a woman were arrested after a 22-year-old Essex man was hit over the head with a wooden bat and required hospital treatment.

Both people arrested have been released on bail pending a decision to prosecute.

Anyone with information about the incidents - which took place on Sunday - are urged to contact police on 01227 767055 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
