Mummies, werewolfs and body parts are not something you would normally expect to see in your average garage.

But Herne Bay father Gerald McCarthy, 36, has decided to turn his into a ghastly den of ghouls and ghosts for Halloween.

Son Rio, six, is the inspiration for the work which saw some 200 visitors last year and is expected to attract double that this time around.

Mr McCarthy is also using his chance to frighten the life out of the neighbours to collect donations for the Kent Air Ambulance.

“The doorbell did not stop ringing last year and this year all the extra visitors will be helping us support a good cause.

“My son absolutely loves it and it has been great fun putting it all together.”
