Alison Hammond has ‘superb’ stay at Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve near Hythe

A daytime TV star has enjoyed a “dream” day in Kent with her new boyfriend.

Alison Hammond – who recently became the presenter of Paul O’Grady’s For the Love of Dogs – visited Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve near Hythe on Friday night.

The 49-year-old This Morning presenter stayed at the site’s Lion Lodge, which costs £1,450 a night.

“What a lovely stay at Port Lympne,” she wrote on her Instagram page.

“A superb hotel and reserve!

“Staying at the Lion Lodge was a dream and truly unforgettable. Thanks for the invite and [for] looking after me.”

Hammond captured a close-up video of one of the lions near her accommodation, and shared footage of the afternoon tea she enjoyed in the site’s mansion.

She also went on a safari, gave a Tapir a belly rub and enjoyed exploring the park on a golf buggy.

The Sun has reported she was spotted with her 26-year-old boyfriend at the park, adding the pair looked “loved up”.

Hammond, who rose to fame after her debut on Big Brother in 2002, recently became the new presenter of For the Love of Dogs which was originally presented by O’Grady.

She is also on a new panel show, Rob Beckett’s Smart TV alongside Josh Widdicombe.

Other celebrities to have stayed at Port Lympne include Amanda Holden, Jesy Nelson and Gemma Collins.
