FREE advice and support on any IT-related issue is being offered to Kent businesses but many are missing out because they do not know it is available.

Business people from across the county who attended ‘Getting the best from IT’, an exhibition that promoted awareness of the latest technology and its practical applications, were surprised to discover how much support is available.

Delegate Paula Lane said: “Sparing a few hours away from work proved to be extremely beneficial. I had no idea there is such a wealth of expertise in Kent and, more importantly, that I can access it for free."

Russell Bavington-Jones, Connectivity and Bandwidth Project Manager at Technology Enterprise Kent, who organised the event with the help of SEEDA and Business Link Kent, said: “These events are designed to help people understand how technology can help them in their everyday working lives.

"There are so many technical terms being used at the moment that people really don’t understand but we are here to clear up some of that mystery.”

‘Getting the best from IT’ was part of a series of events which culminates in a large exhibition being held on Thursday, June 23 at St Augustine’s, Westgate-on-Sea.
