New deal to identify housing sites

TWO companies have formed an alliance to secure more sites for development in the county.

Amicus Group has a developmeny programme of £23m to provide affordable housing across local authority areas throughout the Thames Gateway.

Based in East Kent, Denne Group Ltd provides construction, maintenance, joinery and mechanical services. It is already a contractor to Amicus Group in a partnering agreement for repairs to residents’ homes in Swale.

This new agreement further strengthens the relationship between the two organisations.

Stuart Henderson, commercial director of Amicus Group, said: "Denne and Amicus Group have been working together for many years and this marks a further step in our joint approach. We look forward to identifying many sites which will provide much-needed affordable housing in Kent."

Nick Kingsman, Land and Property Director of Denne Group, said: "Denne Group are pleased to be working with Amicus on this exciting venture.

"There are many yet unidentified sites on which the building of affordable housing would be extremely cost effective and the most logical use for the land."
