JOB seekers could strike lucky at a three-day recruitment fair for the new Morrisons supermarket due to open in Strood this autumn.

People interested in working at the new 74,000 ft store currently being built in Knight Road, can meet the recruitment team this week.

Managers are on the look-out for checkout operators, café assistants, bakers, butchers and counter staff.

A range of part-time and full-time positions, including day and night hours, will be on offer at the recruitment event at The Corn Exchange, Rochester.

Recruitment manager Gail Roberts said: "We have had a lot of interest in the job opportunities here but this event is the first step towards actually filling the positions available.

The fair will run from 1pm to 6pm on Friday, 9am to 4pm on Saturday, and 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
