£10,000 of riding equipment stolen at Bethersden

POLICE have estimated the value of saddles and bridles stolen from a livery yard at around £10,000.

The tack taken from the yard in Bethersden, near Ashford, includes a Bates General purpose saddle, a Lenetex bridle, a double bridle, a jumping saddle, a snaffle bridle, a black Country saddle, a black Ideal saddle, a black 'Happy mouth' Pelham bridle and a straight bar bit.

Police want to hear from anyone who is offered cheap tack from an unusual source.
