60 cycles stolen from lorry

POLICE are appealing for information after about 60 bicycles worth several thousand pounds were stolen from a lorry in a Kent village on Wednesday night.

The thieves cut the curtain at the side of the lorry in Ashford Road, Lenham, near Maidstone, to reach the bicycles which were new and boxed.

It is believed they used a van to transport them away from the scene. The theft happened between 9.40pm and 10pm.
