A2 traffic hold up

A Toyota and a Land Rover towing an animal trailer were involved in an accident on the A2 between Dover and Canterbury at 7.20am this morning.

The trailer ended up in a hedge on the London-bound carriageway near Kingston, forcing the closure of the inside lane.

A 23-year-old woman driving the Toyota was taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford suffering from shock. The driver of the Land Rover was unhurt.

Traffic was delayed by about 15 minutes. Police reopened the road at 9.05am.
