Air ambulance called to crash

The driver of a Ferrari has been airlifted to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries after a two car crash outside the Weald of Kent Golf Club at Headcorn.

The crash happened at a notorious accident black spot on the A274 shortly before 9am today.

The road was still closed at 11am and drivers were being warned to avoid the area.

The driver, from Coxheath, is said by police to be critically ill.
