Angry driver reverses into woman at garage

A YOUNG woman working at a filling station was injured when an irate motorist reversed his car on the forecourt and struck her.

Police say the drama unfolded at the Asda petrol station in Greenhithe, near Dartford, after there was a problem with the pumps.

A member of the public who had tried to get petrol became upset and at first drove off. However, he then reversed back onto the forecourt and hit the woman employee before driving off again.

The 24-year-old victim was taken to Darent Valley Hospital at Dartford where she was treated for severe bruising.

Det Con Glenn Blanchard, the officer investigating this incident, said: “This has caused the victim a great deal of distress. I would urge anyone with information about this incident to contact the police.”
