Appeal after death crash

POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a road accident on Romney Marsh in which a 49-year-old man died.

The accident involved two Landrovers and happened on the A2070 Hamstreet bypass, near Brenzett Green at 1.20pm on Saturday. The victim has not yet been namdd. He came from Sussex.

Three women were also injured in the accident and taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford. Firefighters were called from Ashford to free the casualties from the wreckage.

The Kent Air Ambulance took one casualty to hospital. The others were taken there by land ambulance. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
