Appeal after man is robbed at knifepoint

POLICE are appealing for help after a man was robbed at knifepoint on Gillingham's Great Lines.

The 20-year-old victim was walking towards Gillingham when he was approached by three teenagers who asked him for a spare cigarette.

One of the three then pulled a knife and demanded cash. The victim handed over £20. Police have only just released details of the robbery which happened on May 25.

A spokesman for Medway Police added: "The man was very shocked by the incident. He suffered no serious injuries but was very shaken."

The robbers are all white and aged between 16 and 19. Anyone with information should call PC Craig Hewitt at Rochester Police Station on 01634 884212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
