Asthma attack death after road crash

A 58-year-old woman who was involved in a car accident on the A28 at Chilham, near Ashford, on Friday later died in hospital from complications resulting from an asthma attack.

The woman, from Margate, was a passenger in a Nissan Micra involved in a collision with a black Mazda driven by an Ashford man. She has not yet been named.

Kent Police say there were a total of five casualties. Three of them needed hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and in particular, would like to speak to the occupants of a silver saloon car that was travelling towards Chilham at the time of the crash.
