A CHARITY auction is being held on Saturday to help send a young Ramsgate boy with a life threatening illness on the holiday of a lifetime.

Eight-year-old Philip Hoare, who has spinal muscular atrophy, is desperate to go to Disneyland, Paris. His family need £2,500 to make his dream come true.

The auction will be at Margate United Football Club. Lots include an enormous Scalextric set donated by Hornby, a house clean from Done And Dusted and a Mr Fix It For A Day.

Philip is restricted to a wheelchair and his illness severely affects his muscle so he has only a little use of his arms and hands.

His family hope to take him to Disney next spring, while he is still able to go.

The Hartsdown Park soccer club has donated the function room free.

Admission is £5 and the event starts at 8pm.
