Nicole Dryburgh is already well into her next literary challenge.

The 19-year-old from Seasalter has battled cancer for eight years and is now blind and virtually deaf.

She was at the Horsebridge, Whitstable, to stamp her signature on copies of her autobiography The Way I See It.

“The publishers so far have 6,000 words of her latest book,” revealed mum Jackie. “But she’s keeping exactly what it’s about to herself.”

Nicole also writes a fortnightly column in the Kentish Gazette.

•The Way I See It is available priced £6.99 from Waterstone’s and WH Smith in Canterbury, among other bookshops, and online at www.amazon.co.uk
