Video: can these sweets
really make you look more tasty?

by Katie Lamborn

Fancy a sweet face to match a sweet tooth? Well, apparently now you
can!

A Kent confectioner is the first person in Europe to try Beauty
Candy - a sweet which is supposed to make you prettier by just
having a nibble.

Angus Kennedy from East Farleigh who publishes trade magazine
Kennedy's Confection said: "It's supposed to work because there's
collagens in the sweets which are good for your skin.

But at £8 for a 150g bag how would the product go down with the
British public?

"I'm not convinced Beauty Candy would get off the ground here,"
said Angus.

"I think we're more sceptical - can you really become more
beautiful by not going to the gym but by just eating sweets!"

It's claimed results can be seen in weeks if you eat eight bits
of the candy every day.

"It tastes disgusting," said Angus.

"A bit like licking someone's face with make-up on, but I
want to be beautiful so I'd better eat lots of them!

"There's always a price to pay for beauty."
