A MAN died on Thursday night when the motorbike he was riding collided head on with a car in a Kent village.

The crash happened at around 10.40pm on Lower Road, Eastchurch, on the Isle of Sheppey.

It involved a silver Suzuki motorbike and a blue Renault Clio. The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.

His pillion passenger, a 51-year-old woman, and the two occupants of the car - a 69-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman - were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital with serious injuries.
