Emergency services have closed a lane of the M20 today after a crash involving one car.

Lane one of the coastbound carriageway, just before junction five for Aylesford, will remain closed while Kent Fire and Rescue remove the roof of the vehicle involved.

The lane was closed after the initial accident, at 7.24am, and reopened at 7.45am to allow traffic to pass. The vehicle was on the hard shoulder.

But fire fighters were called at about 8am after the female driver of the blue Peugeot 306 complained of neck pain.

South East Coast Ambulance crews are on scene waiting to treat the woman.

The cause of the crash is not known.
