Do these items belong to you

Officers have seized power tools and boxing equipment that they believe may have been stolen.

The items were discovered after police searched two houses in Medway.

A team of officers arrested two people yesterday after issuing a warrant in Ross Street, Rochester. Black & Decker and Performance power tools were still boxed when discovered by police.

A 44-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft, they have been bailed to Medway police station whilst enquiries continue.

In a separate warrant that took place in Gillingham on January 3, the team seized numerous items of boxing equipment, some of which appears to be new. Head guards, boxing gloves and strike pads were amongst the items found. An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.

Police are now keen to find out if the items they have seized are stolen and are asking people to come forward if they recognise them.

The suspected thefts are being investigated by PC Chris Weatherstone, who said: "If anyone thinks that these items may belong to them I would ask them to get in contact with us at Medway police station.

"I would like to recommend that people security mark items such as power tools, as this helps us to trace the rightful owner in the event of them being stolen."

Anyone who thinks that the power tools or boxing equipment belongs to you is asked to contact officers at Medway police station on 01634 792681.
