A CCTV image has been released by detectives of a man they would like to talk to following a series of thefts from the Co-op in High Street, Swanscombe.

The first incident occurred on April 26 at about 9pm. A man stole cigarettes and magazines before leaving the store.

A second incident occurred on May 4 at about 6.30pm when the same suspect stole a quantity of beer and other groceries from the store.

Further incidents occurred on May 7 at 7pm when the suspect returned to steal cigarettes and again May 8 at 7.30pm when trhe suspect took more cigarettes.

Det Sgt Tom Duff said: “We would urge the man in the CCTV still to contact police as he may be able to assist us with our enquiries.”

The man is described as white, 6ft tall and wearing a white jacket and black jeans. He is thought to be aged between 24 and 26.
