POLICE have released the image of a man they are keen to question about two robberies.

One of the incidents occurred between 5.20pm and 5.30pm on Sunday, November 12, at a newsagent's shop in Ingram Road at Gillingham.

Two males entered the premises and threatened the cashier with what is thought to be a gun and demanded cash. It is believed they failed to obtain any money from the cashier but made off with three packets of cigarettes.

Officers are keen to speak with one of the males who is described as a black, about 6ft tall, of medium build with short black hair. He was wearing a three-quarter length dark jacket with a fur hood, black trousers and black shoes.

Police are also investigating a similar offence that happened in Gillingham on the same day. Details of this incident have not been released.

A 19-year-old man has been appeared in court in connection with the investigation charged with attempted robbery. He has been remanded in custody.

Anyone who can help police with the investigation, is asked to contact Det Con Adam Marshall on 01634 884014 or Kent CrimeStoppers on 0800 555111.
