Driver cut out of vehicle wreckage

A young woman motorist had to be cut free from her car after it ploughed into woods in Walderslade.

The incident, which occured around 1am on Sunday in Taddington Wood Lane, involved only one car.

Medway fire crews sent two pumps to the scene and used hydraulic cutting equipment.

The woman, thought to be in her 20s, was removed from the wreckage on a spinal board and then taken to hospital. Her current condition is unknown.

The fire crews from red watch were at the scene for approximately an hour.
