Ebbsfleet United lose Gianoulis Fakinos for rest of season

Ebbsfleet midfielder Gianoulis Fakinos has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Fakinos who has been told that he will require knee surgery which will keen him out for the remainder of the campaign.

Fleet manager Liam Daish (pictured) said: "He has damage to his cartilage and anterior cruciate ligament and will undergo an operation in the next week or so.

"I am gutted for Cesc (Fakinos), he will have a long haul back from this type of injury but he has the character and determination to do so".

Meanwhile, defender Ian Simpemba has signed for Dover Athletic for a nominal fee.

Daish said: "Ian expressed a wish to play first team football and, as the deal suited all parties, we reluctantly agreed to the move.

"Ian's been a good member of the squad and has been great to work with. I am sure he will become a favourite with the Dover fans."
