Ex-policeman admits child porn charges

A FORMER police officer broke down and wept in court after admitting downloading child porn from the Internet over a period of almost 10 years.

Paul Hook, who was based in Maidstone, pleaded guilty to 24 charges of making an indecent photograph of a child between December 31, 1994 and June 3 this year.

Kevin Sparks, defending, told Judge Keith Simpson at Maidstone Crown Court: "This case was moved out of the county for certain reasons, to be dealt with by another Crown Prosecution Service."

Hook, 32, from Snodland, was remanded in custody until sentence on November 15. Mr Sparks said there was no application for bail.
