Four arrested following pub attack

A MAN has been kicked and punched to the ground and hit with a bottle in an attack outside the Dane Valley Arms pub in Margate.

The 24-year-old victim was trying to help the pub landlord after a bottle had been thrown at him by four youths outside the pub.

Trouble flared when the landlord asked the group to stop smashing bottles in the pub car park on Saturday night. A 22-year-old man was also injured by the group when he left the pub. He was kicked and hit with a bottle.

Police arrested a 19-year-old from Ramsgate, a 17-year-old and two 16-year-olds in connection with the incident. The two injured men were treated at the Queen Mother Hospital at Margate for cuts and bruises.
