The funeral for a teenager who died after falling on a live railway line in Thanet is taking place later today.

Ben Lavender was crossing the tracks at the station in Westgate-on-Sea to see friends last month when he was electrocuted.

The 17-year-old Chatham House Grammar School student was taken to the QEQM Hospital in Margate but was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Pupils at the school will be holding a one minute silence at 3pm - and the school's flag continues to fly at half mast.
