Jubilant Gills supporters were celebrating today after their team's 2-1 FA Cup victory over Stockport last night.

It means the Gills now have a money-spinning televised home tie against Premiership side Aston Villa in January.

The plum fixture could mean a welcome £250,000 cash bonanza for the club. Gills manager Mark Stimson said:" “We were absolutely outstanding; first class."

The game is certain to be a sell-out and today fans were anxiously awaiting ticket details.

Gills hung on to their lead after first-half goals from Andy Barcham. There were four nail-biting minutes of injury time before Gills' dream of a lucrative home tie against Aston Villa became a reality.
