Andy Barcham is backing Gillingham to take maximum points from their Easter weekend.

Two wins would boost Gills’ survival hopes and Barcham, who has netted in the last two games against Charlton and MK Dons, believes they have what it takes to win at Oldham tomorrow (Saturday) and follow it up with a victory over Southend at home on Monday.

Barcham said: "We’ve taken on some big teams in our last two games and were unlucky not to get a win.

"If we can take that attitude and the way we played into those two games, then there’s no reason we can’t win both.

"We definitely need to take points from them and if we can follow-up our recent performances with back-to-back wins, then that would be great."

The Gills are still searching for their first away win of the season but head to Oldham in good form with just one defeat from their last eight.

"We’re hitting form at the right time," said Barcham.

"Everyone in the club believes we have the ability but it’s all well and good saying it. We’ve proved it of late against some big teams and if we can continue that, then it will help us."
