Gunners reward brave Christopher

A TEENAGER who has made a remarkable recovery from burns injuries has had a great gift from the football team he follows with a passion.

Christopher Montgomery, who goes to Swan Valley School, Swanscombe, was badly burned in a gas explosion at a friend's house. During the past week, 14-year-old's face has healed incredibly well.

If that wasn't enough to bring a smile to his face, Arsenal Football Club ensured Christopher would be grinning from ear to ear. He is a huge Gunners fan and the club was so moved by his plight that they sent him a dream goodie bag after an approach from the Gravesend Messenger.

Christopher was chuffed to bits when he delved in and saw his gifts: a signed photo, baseball cap, scarf, T-shirt, mug, drink bottle, folder, pens, key ring and geometry set. When he's well enough, he will also be invited to Highbury for a tour of the ground.
