Is your cute pet a winner?

ARE you the owner of the cutest cat, the prettiest pooch, the most beautiful bunny or the best budgie?

Here’s your chance to prove it by entering the Kent Messenger’s hugely popular Precious Pets competition, sponsored by Maidstone-based Newnham Court Veterinary Group.

We are asking readers to send in snaps of their prized pets. We will publish a selection of the pictures in a special supplement in the Kent Messenger on Friday, June 27.

We will ask readers to vote for their favourites and then our panel of experts will choose the overall winner from the top 10.

This year the winner will take home a fantastic £250 cash prize as well as a framed portrait of their pet.

We had more than 600 entries in last year’s competition so we expect the entries to come pouring in this year.

For your chance to win, simply send your picture to the Kent Messenger, either as a high quality original colour print or emailed jpeg of at least 500k.

The photograph must only feature the pet which is to be entered in the competition, photographs which have people or other pets in will not be accepted, nor will pictures of animals wearing clothes.

We cannot use photocopied or scanned prints.

Entries must include the full name and age of your pet and your own full name, address and daytime telephone number. If you send a print, please attach the details to the back of the photograph. We will not be able to return photographs.

Your picture must have been taken by you, your family or friends rather than a professional snapper. You must also have permission for the Kent Messenger to publish it. You must live in Kent.

Email your photograph to kmcompetition@thekmgroup.co.uk marking your entry Precious Pets or send it to Precious Pets Competition, Kent Messenger, 6 & 7 Middle Row, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1TG. The closing date for entries is noon on Monday, June 16.
