Words large and small feature heavily in the lives of Scrabble enthusiasts who meet on Monday mornings at the Granville Theatre, Ramsgate.

Club stalwart Jean Cook said it has been a great success since forming last June.

“This spring we entered a team in the Southern Scrabble League,” she said. “So far we’ve won two and lost two of our matches.”

A future challenge includes one against Clarendon House Scrabblers, who are successful on the schools circuit.

Anyone wishing to find out more about the Granville Scrabble Club is welcome to drop in any Monday morning. Players break for refreshments at around 11am.
