James Tredwell is in line to win three more one-day international caps this week.

Kent’s Tredwell (pictured) has been called up for England’s 13-man squad for the three-game NatWest Series against Bangladesh.

Regular off-spinner Graeme Swann has been rested, giving Tredwell – who has been playing for the England Lions – the chance to step back into the main set-up.

Tredwell, who has one cap to his name against Bangladesh earlier this year, will be hoping to feature at Trent Bridge on Thursday, Bristol on Saturday and then Edgbaston on Monday.

Reflecting on Tredwell’s call-up alongside that of Warwickshire batsman Jonathan Trott, England national selector Geoff Miller said: "James Tredwell and Jonathan Trott have previously been involved with the England one-day set up and will be excellent additions to the full England squad from the England Lions.

"Both have been in good form for the Lions and will relish the opportunity to make their mark in limited overs at the top level."

England squad: Andrew Strauss (cpt, Middlesex), James Anderson (Lancashire), Ian Bell (Warwickshire), Tim Bresnan (Yorkshire), Stuart Broad (Nottinghamshire), Paul Collingwood (Durham), Craig Kieswetter (Somerset), Eoin Morgan (Middlesex), Ajmal Shahzad (Yorkshire), James Tredwell (Kent), Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire), Luke Wright, Michael Yardy (both Sussex).
