A nursery group held a 'sponsored toddle’ to raise money and revamp their garden.

More than 30 children who attend Woodlands Day Nursery and Pre-school in Minster, took part in the event last Tuesday.

Their parents walked with them and they toddled around 10 laps of the nursery’s garden.

The nursery holds the event every year, and this year it was to raise money to make the garden nice in time for the summer.

They managed to raise £200 and there is still some more money to come in.

It will be spent on a sunken sand-pit and more flowers and other items to help with the children’s sensory learning.

Andrea Yates, assistant supervisor at the nursery, said: “It was good fun and the children loved it.”
