Lifeboat rescue - after oars broke

Three people got into difficulty on the River Medway yesterday after the oars on their rowing boat broke.

Thames Coastguard and Sheerness RNLI were called to were the boat had been tied at Grain Tower.

It happened just before 4pm - the three people were taken ashore to the Isle of Grain while the dinghy was towed back to Sheerness.
