Lorry driver airlifted after horror crash between Faversham and Sittingbourne

The London-bound carriageway of the M2 has re-opened after a serious accident.

Police said one lane of the coastbound carriageway is also due to open shortly.

A lorry and three cars were involved in the incident which happened just after 12.20pm between junction five, Stockbury and six, Faversham.

Police and paramedics were on the scene and a man was airlifted to hospital after firefighters rescued him from the lorry.

The cause of the incident is not yet known.
