Man charged with murder after Margate stabbing

A man has been charged with the murder of Darren Turner in Margate.

The 36-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds in Wilderness Hill on Tuesday and died in hospital the same day.

Sean Maher, of Canterbury Road in Margate, appeared before magistrates in Margate on Friday, charged with murder.

The 20-year-old was remanded in custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, April 20.

Meanwhile, a 43-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of Mr Turner's murder.

She is the fourth person to be arrested by Kent Police as part of the inquiry and is being questioned by detectives.

A 42-year-old Margate man remains in police custody but a 16-year-old boy arrested as part of the inquiry has been released without charge.
