Man 'critical' after stumbling into car's path

A MAN is in a critical condition after stumbling in front of a car at the weekend.

The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning in Rochester High Street.

The man was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but was later transferred to a hospital in Romford, Essex, where he was expected to undergo an operation. His condition was described as "critical".

The driver of the car was breathalysed but was not over the alcohol limit. No charges are pending.
