A 42-year-old man appeared before magistrates at Thanet today accused of murdering a Margate woman.

Dean Arthur Williams, also of Margate, was charged on Monday evening with killing Mary Margaret Malkin. Her body was found by police officers at a flat in Invicta House, Cliftonville, on Saturday at about 11.30am.

Williams was remanded in custody until Monday, February 7, when he will appear before a judge at Maidstone Crown Court.
