Mark Bentley, Matt Fry, Josh Gowling, Simeon Jackson, Stuart Lewis and Simon Royce in the running for trophy

It’s time for Gillingham fans to pick their player-of-the-month for October.

We’ve selected six of the best for you to choose from.

Simeon Jackson (pictured) took his season tally to 11 in October with two vital goals. He scored the winner against Wycombe and the leveller against Charlton.

Matt Fry has stepped into the side straight from reserve team football at West Ham and made a great impact.

Fry has quickly built up a good relationship with Josh Gowling in the middle of defence and the former Carlisle man scored his first goal for the Gills in the win over Wycombe.

Behind the pair in goal, Simon Royce has remained as reliable as ever.

Mark Bentley has enjoyed his spell out of defence and in his more accustomed right sided role in midfield, with a man of the match performance against Charlton.

Making a welcome return from injury this month has been Stuart Lewis and he’s slotted back into the side with ease.

The winner will be presented with a bottle of champagne before the league visit of Oldham on November 14.
