Tonbridge Angels moved back to sixth place in the Ryman League Premier Division, their highest position since the end of November, with a 2-1 home win over Maidstone United on Tuesday.

But Tommy Warrilow's in-form side had to come from behind after Adrian Stone gave the Stones a 16th-minute lead. Sam Long levelled matters before half-time, and then Adam Burchell struck Angels' winners with eight minutes left.

The surprise result of the night came at Princes Park where leaders Dartford were beaten 1-0 by Margate, who had gone into the game bottom of the table.

James Pinnock's 65th-minute goal gave Margate an unexpected three points which lifted them up to 19th, while Dartford's title jitters continued with their third defeat in five games.

In Ryman League Division 1 South, Whitstable are off the bottom and out of the relegation places after new manager Mark Lane got off to a winning start with a 1-0 home success against Ramsgate.

Sittingbourne stayed in the play-off picture, advancing to seventh place with a 2-1 victory at Whyteleafe.

John Wilfort made it 2-2 after 69 minutes and two more goals followed in the next five minutes, Abdou Bojang netting for Casuals before Rob Denness squared matters again.

Casuals then had the last word when Wiltshire claimed his second goal of the night with four minutes to go.
