Motorist dies in hospital after crash

A 20-year-old man died in hospital from multiple injuries after he lost control of the BMW he was driving and crashed on a busy main road.

Police say James Harden's car had collided with the nearside kerb in Bickley Road, Bromley. He lived in Orpington.

A passenger was also injured and taken to hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the crash.

Sgt Russell Fenwick, of the collision investigation unit, said: “This collision happened at 11.45pm on Tuesday January 17. I am appealing for anyone who was in the area, either in a vehicle or walking. Did you see anything? Do you remember seeing the blue BMW, model 325 at all? I would urge anyone with information to call me.”
