New boss after Chats re-shuffle

CHATHAM Town have announced that Phil Miles will take over from current boss Steve Binks in a re-structuring of their management.

Miles was assistant to Binks and has also held the post of reserve team manager.

As a result of the re-shuffle, Binks has been appointed to the board as director of youth development.

A club statement said: "Steve is ideally skilled to implement the planned football development school at Chatham Town."

Long-serving club captain Steve Best has been rewarded with the role of assistant player-manager alongside Miles.

The statement continued: "We look forward to the changes having a positive effect both on and off the pitch and demonstrate Chatham's continued development within the community."
