A one-month-old baby has died of a cardiac arrest.

The Kent Air Ambulance flew to the incident in Shepway, Maidstone, on Saturday morning, just before 9am.

It landed on a nearby recreation ground.

The baby girl had suffered heart problems.

She was rushed to Maidstone Hospital in just eight minutes but, despite the efforts of air ambulance paramedics and land crews, the girl was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
