PCSOs commended for clean up

Two PCSOs have been commended for their work in Shortlands, Bromley, after heading a successful clean up campaign in the area.

PCSOs Samantha Storey and Sophie Plump of the Bromley Town Safer Neighbourhood Team recieved an Environmental Efficiency Commendation after tackling problems of anti social behaviour and graffiti that blighted Shortland's Village.

The pair implemented a scheme that indentified and monitored graffiti to ensure it was cleaned up within 48 hours.

They also worked in co-operation with local store bosses and residents, providing information about the scheme as well as clean up kits.

They recieved their award from Anne McMeel, the Met Police Service's Head of Strategic Finance on Tuesday, September 25.
